Aging At Home Van Helper

Casual/On-call up to 30 hours per month
Summary
Under the general direction of the Health and Wellness Manager, the Aging at Home Van Helper is responsible for supporting the transportation needs of individuals 55 years of age and older. This includes assisting clients during transportation to medical appointments, home management activities, and/or social events, and providing additional support as needed to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience.
Job Duties
• Provide support to clients and van drivers as per assigned schedule
• Assist clients safely entering and exiting vehicles and medical appointments
• Support clients with essential home management activities (e.g. grocery shopping, banking)
• Escort clients to traditional gatherings, community events, and social activities as needed
• Communicate client needs clearly to van drivers
• Report client concerns, issues, or safety matters to the Health and Wellness Manager in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
